SB Order 28/2021- It is good news for all post office customers that the post office has launched its IVR service for all post office savings account holders.

Today I am going to share how to avail IVR service of the Post office? Customer can also check their post office account balance through the service. 
They can also avail of post office account balance inquiries. Overall, this service will help customers to know their post office account balances, block post office atm card, post office atm card pin change, issue new atm cards, know the rate of interest on all post office savings schemes, etc.

What is the Post office IVR service? 

As per SB order 28 2021 issued by the postal directorate, India Post introduced a new service for all post office customers. 
This service is known as post office IVR service. The full form of IVR is Interactive Voice Response. 
It means, customers can now call on a toll-free number from their registered mobile number and they can avail various IVR services on the toll-free number.

What is SB Order no. 28/2021? 

It is the 28 SB order for the year 2021. The postal directorate has already been issued a total of 27 SB orders. You can check all SB orders 2021 from here. The SB order no. 28/2021 is regarding the introduction of the IVR “interactive voice response facility for POSB customers.

Subject: – Regarding the introduction of the “Interactive Voice Response (IVR)” facility for POSB customers.
Madam / Sir,
The undersigned is directed to say that the ‘Interactive Voice Response (IVR)’ facility for customers has been implemented. Through the IVR facility, the customers can avail the following facilities for National Savings Schemes (Small Savings Schemes) by calling through the registered mobile number at Indiapost toll-free number 18002666868.
2. The details of various facilities are available for POSB customers through the “Interactive Voice Response (IVR)” system is as under: –
  • Call toll-free number 18002666868
  • press 1 for Hindi
  • press 2 for English
  • press 5 for account balance inquiry (all schemes)
  • (Enter account number followed by #)
  • press 6 for blocking of ATM card
  • press 1 using Card Number
  • press 2 using Account Number
  • press 3 using Customer ID (CIF No)
  • press 7 for other Services
  • press 2 for India Post Banking Services (POSB)
  • press 1 for inquiries or transactions on your savings account (SB/PPF/SSA)
  • (enter account number followed by #)
  • press 1 to know the status of cheque issued on your account
  • press 2 to know the details of last four transaction on your account.
  • press 3 to know the details of specific transaction of your account.
  • press 4 to know the interest earned and paid or tax deducted on your
  • account.
