How to Check Speed Post Tracking Number of Passport

There is no separate tracking system for Passports.

Passports are being sent through speed post only and Speed post containing passports can be traceable by the below steps.

When the Post Office books your passport, an SMS will automatically be sent to your mobile number.

This SMS contains your Passport Speed post Tracking number.

You can trace your passport using this tracking number.

Steps to Track Your Passport Sent via Speed Post

First of all, visit the Track N Trace Facility of India Post’s Official Website or you can visit this link- https://www.indiapost.gov.in/_layouts/15/dop.portal.tracking/trackconsignment.aspx
Enter your Passport Tracking Number in the column “Enter consignment number”
Enter characters as displayed in the image shown below.
Now, click on the “SEARCH” button.
You will get the current status of your passport where it is now present.

Passport Route from Passport Office to your Home Address:

Booking Post Office Name > Parrent NSH or ICH > Destination NSH or ICH > Delivery Post Office nearby your Location >Delivered by Postman at your home.

My Passport is not Delivered What will I do?

You can follow below listed two steps if your passport is not delivered after several days of booking SMS received.

Call India Post’s Customer Care Number- 18002666868 and ask him if your passport has still not been delivered.
You can also raise a complaint if your passport is not delivered after 10 days of booking.
