SB Order 19/2022: e-Passbook Facility for Post Office Account

A new SB order no. 19/2022 released on 12.10.2022 regarding introducing an e-Passbook facility for the Post Office Savings Schemes account holders.

Now, the account holder can check the post office account balance and mini statement online by using the post office e-Passbook service.

SB Order 19/2022: e-Passbook for post Office

As per SB Order no. 19/2022, the e-Passbook for Post Office has been started w.e.f. 12.10.2022. Post Office Small Savings Customer is now able to access the account detail anytime, anywhere.
e-Passbook facility for the post office is totally free of cost. There is no need of having Net banking or mobile banking access.
The Post Office e-Passbook facility is accessible through registered mobile numbers only.
Users can check balance inquiries, mini statements, and full statements for their all-national savings scheme accounts.

Post Office e-Passbook facility service list

The following facilities are provided to all post office account holders under the e-Passbook for post office.

01. Balance Inquiry-

In this option, post office customers can view the balance of post office accounts (post office SB account, PPF account, SSA account, RD account, TD account, etc.
 

02. Mini Statement-

Post Office customers can also check Mini statements for their post office accounts. Right now, a mini statement under the post office e-Passbook service is available for savings accounts (POSB), Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts (POSB), and Public Provident Fund Accounts (PPF) only.
Mini Statements under the e-Passbook of post offices may be available for other post office accounts (RD, TD, TD) in the future.
A mini statement can also be downloaded if required.

03. Full statement

The full statement is also available in the e-Passbook. People may generate full statements for a specific date range.
