Recently, the Department of Posts, India issued an order regarding mobile number of sender and addressee is mandatory for booking of parcel at post office.
They also updated their booking software i.e. Point of Sale. Now Point of Sale software will show an error if mobile number field is empty.
As we know that people book speed post, registered letter and parcel at post office across India.
Now they have to write mobile numbers of sender and receiver on the article/parcel.
Pincode writing is already compulsory but now it will be mandatory to write the mobile numbers as well as pin code on parcel.
