Recently, the Postal Department issued an order regarding the booking instructions. These instructions must be followed by the post office staff strictly.
We know that IT 2.0 software named APT has been implemented in all post offices across India.
Postal Staff still don’t have the knowledge of which option will be used to book departmental articles using the postal service.
Therefore, the instructions below are issued by the postal directorate.
Explanation of Postal Services Booking Instructions in DOP
This is regarding the booking facility available for the items On Postal Service. In view of the rationalization of mail services, w.e.f. 01.10.2025.
It is to clarify that in the booking solution under APT 2.0, the Postal Service option is available for the following products with the required value-added services like Registration, Insurance, etc.
- Inland Speed Post Documents
- Speed Post Parcel Domestic
- India Post Parcel Retail
This instruction is effective from 01.10.20.2025.
